Jonatha Brooke - Singer, Songwriter / Conservatory Garden, Central Park August 08, 2007
WOW!!!!
When I say blue eyes and freckles ROCK I mean it!!! Jonatha is gorgeous! that is one, and you totally showed her beauty is every meaning of this word!!! AMAZING.
If not the whole project, a photo like this is what it will be remembered by, Bill. Damn you are talented! - Ela there is such precision in your art ... it is so stunning. and, I am such a fan of her music - how exciting to have her in this project! - zed - www.zaedryn.com red hair, blue eyes, frelchles... beautiful. but what makes the shot exceptional is the background once again (two words: water lily). - samsplanet 'frelchles'... what ist that? it's 'freckles'... darn it. FRECKLES!!!
to bad, one cannot edit his own comments. - samsplanet stunning photo. you've truly captured something here, and I think it's almost all in Jonatha's eyes. when I saw her live recently, I was struck by how smart and nice she seemed - strong, but kind. and this photo completely reflects that. just wonderful. - andrea - www.andreamann.com The background... it reminds me of Monet. - Paula Can't argue your taste in women. Having spent all but the last twelve years of my 51 years in the USA, I found that behind the beauty of Americans in their diversity, there is often nothing but the desire for a nice apartment and car. Later, a couple of children. There are no dreams of ending the 35 million in poverty in the USA. There are no dreams of ending suburban sprawl and saving billions of other creatures. There are no dreams of anything beyond the nuclear family. Even then the beautiful people all end up working long hours in boring and often times highly destructive jobs. Destructive for them and everyone else. Do we ever need Hummers and McFries?
Take a picture a day of people working at selling Ford 150 pickup trucks and others sewing coiture and others pouring concrete slabs. Ugly, sure, but more beautiful that a pretty face condemned to a petty self destruction. - David Gershater beautiful pic bill. zed (above) nailed it with, "there is such precision in your art..." -- so very true.
off to petty self-destruction! - andrew king - http://www.squarewave.com Beautiful photo! I just recently discovered this site and am working my way back through till Jan.
Re: David Gershater: I love how you dump all of America's problems/issues on this woman's back. Yes, it's her fault she's not working in a sweat shop and saving the world. - thymiane3000
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
