Seth Colter Walls - Journalist, Man Of Two Worlds / Studio Roof
September 17, 2007
it's the funniest thing. i always look at the picture and think: "there's something about this persone that i can't put my finger on...". then i read the description and it hits me: "dead on, that's it!" especially in this case... 'man of two worlds'... still laughing!

Ah, the classic Polaroid frame... showing the detractors that you are also a man of two worlds - the film, and the digital. Love it. Fabulous shot, fabulous contrast, fabulous background, textures, everything. And that expression. What is he thinking, he thinks... or do we think? Nice.

completely agree with Dan - the contrast and textures on this are wonderful. and his expression made me chuckle. is one of his worlds 'England c. 1930'?

Walls against the wall. The bricks make it seem almost religious, as if he is crucified against them; the top edge of the polaroid a line of angels (or washing line of clothes... or demons). Are the two worlds Heaven and Hell?

If it wasn't for the modern look of his suit and the tie, I would think this pic was taken decades ago. Very nice!

Everything about this shot speaks of two worlds - the uploading of a Polaroid; the suit & the bricks; the tie & the furrowed brow. A great collaboration.

I am a photographer and former student of Professor Doyle Walls--he gave me this link to view his accomplished son--I am stunned by the quality of this photos. I am most envious. Exceptional.
