i just realized how my enviroment (such as weather, temperature, emotional state etc.) influences my perception of the portraits. and look how blue this picture is, too! - samsplanet WOW. stunning. another magazine shot ;-)... but oh so very 'you', to boot. - Andrea - www.andreamann.com Mary, do you mean the water? - Andrea - www.andreamann.com So smooth and rough all at the same time. Fabulous! - Mary I really like the framing, with the subject off to the side & all that blue to draw you in. And such gorgeous blues at that, I couldn't tell whether or not this was NYC! - nuno Two things bother:
The waterline on the horizon is not level;
The coat is blue on one side and gray on the other!
I like it otherwise. - John Andrews I think this is my favorite photo background. And I like how he's sorta squinting even though it seems like he doesn't need to. - Danielle Ngo What a stunning man! Check out those eyebrows!!
Love the colors and the composition. Probably a favorite of mine. - Erin "the waterline on the horizon is not level"???
dude... fun is never a straight line:-) - samsplanet CLOSE UP!!!!! Absolutely love it! The blues are just perfect and his smile is superb :) Makes me smile every time I look at it. Agree with samsplanet, the horizon line just adds dynamic and fun to this photo. Great job, Bill. - Ela Oh he is coming out of that water just fine. I like that his clothing is mixed with is color wise. It's as if he's poking his head out of it all to check in and say hi to the land people right before he heads back to it. - Boo - http://www.xanga.com/Boowasborn how did you capture this one? with which focal length and lense?
love it - derLitograph - http://www.derlitograph.de Deep and sophisticated shot. GQ material here in form and style. Very polished and saturated hues. Love the sharp lines and harsh outdoorsie contrast with his suit.

I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
365 Portraits - The Book is now for sale on Blurb - Order Now!!
