Derryl Murphy - SF/F Author, Soccer Coach, Player / Central Park October 30, 2007
Captures an intelectual seriousness with a softhearted smirk. The somewnat faded red and muted yellow-green work nicely. His eyes are amazing and express experience, both good and bad. Great portrait. - Julie his smile is just like mona lisa's... it's there, eventhough it cannot be seen. - samsplanet the texture of his skin and hair matches the background... I like this one. he seems so approachable. - Mindy dsadsda - This guy looks like an author, I wonder if he's married to a librarian. He's hot - The girls at the weller I could have sworn I was younger than this. And didn't I really smile once in awhile?
Seriously, though, a nice pic, Bill. A pleasure, and as usual, you did a helluva job.
D - Derryl Murphy - http://derrylmurphy.blogspot.com Wonderful photo, Bill, of an old (and good) friend. Derryl was the one who brought your project to my attention earlier this year, which resulted in this photograph: http://www.365portraits.com/index.php?date=0613.
I like this one, and in fact it seems to be somewhat similar to mine in that we both have reserved and somewhat serious looks on our faces. I can confirm that he has had good and bad experiences, but haven't we all? The photograph captures the mood of a grizzled veteran of many years of hard work, good and bad times, and caring and compassion.
He is married to a librarian (I introduced the two of them at a party in 1993), and he is an author. Gee, what a coincidence. ;-) - Randy Reichardt - podbaydoor.com I like this one, soemthing very familar and friendly and you captured it really well in this photograph! - Cristina Castro Pelka - http://cristinacastropelkaphotography.blogspot.com/
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
