coffee... that's where i'd be standing, too! - samsplanet Candid setting with vivid color, he appears serious and hardworking, almost anxious as this one moment may be the calm before the storm. Excellent portrait. - Julie I like the layout and the colors in this picture, I'm just not too sure about the positioning of his head/his expression. I love the arrow behind him though. - Erin Kool looks like my Granpa - This photo for me seems more about the place then the person-- although I wonder if you can have one without the other? I love the foreground of condiments, and the repetition of cereal boxes and teas and cups and pattern, but wonder about the flowers (the only natural thing in the photo (other than the guy himself) I am not sure I like the way they are cropped, although they fill in that space. Something to me is unsettiling about them. I may have wanted to see them out of the picture.
I think I would have liked to have seen the condiments spread out like a chessboard (of course, that's a different photograph entirely)
Anyway, good work! - Adam - htp://www.clownlink.com Another good one that tells a story. We all know the tale without a word spoken. I like it. As soon as you are done taking the picture, he is going to take that rag and wipe the back bar. Love it. - John Andrews This is the first of your 365 portraits set that I have seen, and after having a gooood long look through your collection, I have come to the conclusion that it's not only the most incredible and honest set of photographs I have seen, but that I'm looking at the work of surely one among the great photographers of our time.
I love your atmosphere you create with the photos. For instance, this one, the expression on his face, matched with the location and his pose, it all fits together perfectly to create some peaceful yet intriguing scene. I like that a lot about your work, there's always an air of slight mystery, the want to find out more... - alice - http://www.aliced.co.uk is that his "real" name? - KB yes as a matter of fact, that is his real name :) - Debbie Sideratos
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
