This photo is so rich with texture. Interestingly, the only thing that, to me, dates it are Marc's shoes. And maybe the tire tread (I know nothing about motorcycles). - Jocelyn - http://www.myspace.com/jocelynryder yeah... my kind of guy! this picture rocks! - samsplanet Outside, poker face. Inside, free spirit. - Julie Really great texture. You can almost smell the autumn leaves and his leather jacket.
Date? How so? The shoes look like they could have been worn any time over the last 20 years (I'm sure a sneaker freak will tell me differently) and the tread on the tire? Again, not so idiosyncratic to date it. That type of tread/tire has been around for a while.
Wish I could see more of the bike. It looks old and interesting. - Jack The ever-charming ! Perfect. - nice shot bill. thanks! - Marc Lucas - www.marclucas-portfolio.com This is my first day here but I have to say that I really enjoyed browsing through your portrait.
I love the wide angle you use for portraiture it is quite uncommon and it gives a pleasing feel.
The B&W in this picture are just great - Antoine Khater - http://www.adidap.com Me Like. Really nice photo, great idea, and the b/w is awesome. Sweet work, Bill. - Ela Hey I would really love to have you take a portrait of me. I am a senior this year and i really love your work. I have really enjoyed all of the portraits posted on your previous dates i found your site when i was researching photography and didnt leave untill i had see all of your work . - Annie The man in the machine and vice versa. While it seems mechanical how his face pokes out of the union of bike and man, the surroundings acknowledge something super human. Sort of like he's taking stock of what's about and figuring out what to do with it. A ride would be absolutely kick ass. - Boo - http://www.xanga.com/Boowasborn this portrait is cool. love the texture and yeah, wish i can see more of the bike. - Kas - photoblog.com/karmacola in case you're wondering it's a vintage triumph - 1969 triumph bonneville - killer ride
and, I just noticed, my numberplate has gone missing - I may never have caught that otherwise - Marc Ucas - www.marclucas-portfolio.com great b/w, I love the off horizon lines that pull you the the bike. the biker looking away helps those lines. perfect. - Gary Hunter
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
