Love it! - Julie You did it again, Bill!
This is a great pic! - Julio Cesar - http://jcesarmo.wordpress.com How did all the lines get not straight in this photo? Everything is asymmetrical...brilliant!!! It also looks like a really old photo restored. Great job, Bill! - Ela He can cross his legs and still reach the ground with both. Talk about geometry :) - John Beauty math. You make Park Slope look like Paris. I love the reflections in the window. - Annmaria - www.annmaria.com Beautiful shot. I would never have guessed he was a mathematician. That's what I love about your portraits. You're reminding people not to assume you know everything about someone by their looks/profession. - thymiane3000 - http://chiaroscuro-photo.blogspot.com/ first- where's the blue? kidding. excellent contrast.
what is "noncommutative geometry"? Geometry was the only math I understood- now I don't get it again.
for the photo- I do appreciate the multitudes of reflections in the window and elsewhere. Especially because he's "just on a bench." But- take a look over his shoulder and you get a real sense of his location.
plus? cool pants. I like a man in handsome trousers. - csd Another favorite! He looks like someone with an interesting story that I'd like to hear. - Elizabeth - http://www.hotforsheep.typepad.com Ah! I see you are back in New York.
Didn't you love the west?
Interesting pic. I smiled, too. - John Andrews great portrait but no idea about 'noncommutative idea'. - kas - photoblog.com/karmacola where is the striking blue??!?!?
the definition of van erp is his eyes! - math 1o4 Your subject is positively beautiful. I love his eyes and the way he crosses his legs. He looks relaxed yet composed. - Raquel
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
