Kellee Miller - Copywriter, Two of Two / Gowanus Canal, Brooklyn November 10, 2007
Wow. I love this!! The reflection in the water is stunning and the colors are great. The blue fence is a nice touch. I love your use of blues in these portraits, Bill. Lovely. Kellee has such a beautiful, sweet face. Love the coat, too. - Amy Bill, you've actually made the Gowanus Canal look like some beautiful Dutch canal. Love the blue of the railing and her eyes with the contrast of the coat. Gorgeous and dynamic. - Jocelyn - http://www.myspace.com/jocelynryder I like this, too. But I think sharping is more than enough. - Alexander Yelagin - http://www.flickr.com/photos/peasant/ Her jacket almost looks like a painting!
As usual, I very much like your composition-- the complex pattern of the coat, the geometric railing,
the asymmetry of the water above and the pylon in the water. I also like your use of the orange reflected trees, and how the orange acts as a kind of halo to warm the portrait and Kellee up.
She's got a very inviting and friendly face. - Adam-- 11/2! - www.trainedfleas.com Stunning, absolutely stunning! - Julie Bill,
How do you get all these people to allow you to take their pictures day in and day out? You must be a people person at heart. Nice candid shot here. You seem to get people to open up and relax and you grab the human element in the face every time. I'm jealous.
Dave Marcotte - Dave Marcotte - www.provideolighting.com it's a lovely shot. a sincere smile.
and as for this being the Gowanus Canal!? It makes me want to run to see it. I thought this was taken in New England somewhere, like Maine or Vermont.
You have quite the way Bill! - story - prettylittlemess.wordpress.com This photo is awesome. But I also thought at first that it is an area in New England or something similar. But Brooklyn? Wow - Simon - http://godlike1991.go.funpic.de The jacket would give a color press operator fits. She looks nice. On these NY photos I always wonder what is just outside the edge in the background. The reflection on the water makes the picture. She is laughing at you for climbing up to get the shot. I like it. - John Andrews Beautiful work! - Curly Comedy - www.curlycomedy.blogspot.com The colors - the reflection - her big, friendly smile - this is lovely. - AL Two of Two preceeds One of Two - I appreciate the subtleties. :-) - Libby the colors in this picture are wonderful! - photogeek very beautiful woman and portrait - hans
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
