Heather Conrad | Troubling Ninja of Awesomeness / Studio December 27, 2007
The way Heather is lit, and the contrast of darker background, makes her skin--especially her face-- positively glow. - Jocelyn - http://www.myspace.com/jocelynryder Just beatyfull, that was my first thought. Perfect composition of light, shadow and the bookshelves in the background. - Just curious: what kind of lighting did you youse for this shot?

Edited By Siteowner - Seriy She's gorgeous!
4 to go! - Thiago Silva - http://flickr.com/photos/thiagosilva/ exquisitely lit. beautiful shot. - Andrea - www.andreamann.com Beautiful. Once again... So sad this project is nearing it's end. It's been a pleasure to follow! - jesper laugesen - http://laugesen.org/wordpress/ Bill, this project has been a joy. I'll miss checking in with you every day.
Thanks so much. - Elisabeth - http://typingelbow.blogspot.com In a word: FABOO! - Scott My first thought is a magical, ghostly apparition stepping out of the library at the exact stroke of midnight, glowingly content with her limits of appearing for a short period of time each night. - Julie This chica does look like she's made of awesomeness.
I'm really going to miss these daily portraits. I hope you have another project planned for 08! - Rachel I'm pretty sure it's just a fluke on my screen, but there is a really suggestive (read: bullseye) moiré pattern going on with her top. Kinda interesting. I do like the shot though. The background seems to be in perfect balance both in terms of focus, luminance, and position. Masterfully done. - Peter Boysen - http://www.peterboysen.com I have known this beautiful girl for years and cannot express how perfectly this shot captures everything wonderful about her. Well done! - Brendan The lighting is amazing. This portrait is beautiful. Really love it! - Ela I just discovered your site yesterday. I am so inspired!
I am a Connecticut-based artist and was contemplating challenging myself to draw/paint one portrait a day. It may end up being self portraits frequently, I love to work from life.
Any suggestions on finding subjects and making the time? - Gini Fischer - www.ginifischer.com Peter, I see the moiré pattern too — I think it's kinda neat (and maybe a bit naughtily suggestive?).
I, too, am sad that this project is nearing its end. I've been toying with doing my own version of 365 "somethings" (photos? crafts? drawings? Hmmm...) beginning in January. Your work is such an inspiration! - Jen - http://www.honest-planet.com Heather you look stunning. Bill, you are the best. PLEASE do another great project soon....the public can't wait. - Nik G. Like the others that have mentioned it here, I'm so sad this project is ending. I love it. It's so inspirational. Great work. - Justin Hackworth - www.justinhackworth.com Gorgeous in every respect! - James Curtis Smith - http://www.justjames.org/ her arms look like they dont belong to her body... rubberish kinda? still cool though... i bet your mind is being blown that this is almost all over. what happens jan 1st? ha good work, bill. - amanda Very nice portrait, Bill. - John Andrews Heather is flawless..... great portrait. - Stanley fantastic - stikman - www.stiksandstones.com amazing light on this one Bill.. beautiful subject - Daniel Krieger - www.danielkrieger.com Beautiful beautiful picture! - Deanna Lovely portrait. So beautiful light. Perfect. - Victor Puig - http://www.flickr.com/photos/45street Beautiful woman and stunning photograph! - J ... my phone is made of Wolverine. It healed itself after I dropped it into a slush puddle. I'm going to make it say "snickt". - es muy simpatica. - Stephan Because of the "troubling ninja of awesomeness" thing, I'm going to guess she's a Nerdfighter...? -
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
